AThe following calendar, in case of different arrangements by the University's central offices, may be subject to some changes.

Within the calendar, dates related to:

  • lectures;
  • examinations;
  • dissertations.

 

A.Y. 2025-2026


CLASSES


First semester: Monday, 22 September 2025 to Saturday, 13 December 2025 

Holiday breaks: Saturday, 1 November 2025; Monday, 8 December 2025

Second semester: from Monday,16 February 2026 to Saturday, 16 May 2026 

Holidays: break for Easter holidays from Thursday, 2 April to Tuesday, 7 April 2026 (inclusive); Friday, April 25, 2025; Saturday, 25 April 2026; Friday, 1 May 2026; Saturday, 2 May 2026. 


EXAMINATION SESSIONS


According to the provisions of the Student Regulations - https://www.uniroma1.it/it/content/esami-di-profitto - students may take examinations of a subject of their year of study only after the lectures of the relevant teaching module have ended (regardless of whether they are attending students or not).

From Wednesday, 7 January 2026 to Saturday,15 February 2026: 3 exam sessions for all courses delivered up to A.Y. 2024/2025*, and for all subjects whose courses were held in the first semester of A.Y. 2025/2026

Please note: in order to ensure that students can meet the deadlines to apply for graduation for the March 2026 session in the administrative office, the first of the three appeals must necessarily be scheduled, carried out and recorded, at least for undergraduates, by Friday, 16 January 2026. All appeals held on dates after Saturday, 31 January 2026, even if they relate to courses delivered in previous academic years, may only be recorded on the records of the 2025-2026 academic year

From Wednesday, 8 April 2026 to Thursday, 30 April 2026 (Special Session) 1 exam session for all courses delivered until A.Y. 2024/2025 and subjects 2025/2026 whose courses were held in the first semester reserved for:

- Fuori Corso students (they will be able to take all the exams degree program system);

- Students enrolled in Part Time mode (they will be able to take all exams whose courses have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);

- Students enrolled in single courses 2025/2026;

- Incoming Erasmus students (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);

- Students with disabilities or DSA (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);

- Female students who are mothers and students who are fathers with child(ren) under the age of three (will be able to take all examinations whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or to the first semester of the current year);

- pregnant students (will be able to take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or to the first semester of the current year);

- working students (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or to the first semester of the current year);

- students who have athlete status, as defined in Article 25 paragraph 6 of Sapienza Student Regulations - (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);

- students who are concurrently enrolled in two courses of study, as defined in Art. 9 of the Sapienza Student Regulations - (may take all examinations whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);

- students who have qualified as caregivers or young caregivers pursuant to current regulations, upon presentation of appropriate documentation certifying their status (SA Resolution 11 March 2025).

 

From Wednesday, 3 June 2026 to Saturday, 18 July 2026 (Summer Session): 3 exam sessions of all subjects delivered up to a.y. 2025-2026. By 18 July 2026, all examinations must be taken and recorded.

Please note: in order to ensure that students can meet the deadlines to be able to participate in the July 2026 graduation session, the first of the three appeals must necessarily be scheduled, taken and recorded, at least for undergraduates, by Saturday, 13 June 2026.

From Tuesday, 1 September 2026 to Saturday, 12 September 2026 (Autumn Session): 1 exam session of all subjects delivered up to A.Y. 2025-2026.

From Monday, 12 October 2026 to Saturday, 7 November 2026 (Extraordinary Session) - 1 exam session for all courses delivered up to a.y. 2025/2026 reserved for:

- Three-year undergraduates of the December 2026/ January 2027 session (may take the last exam for a maximum of 9 cfu);

- Undergraduates of Specialistica/Magistrale and Old Order Quinquennale of the session of December 2026/ January 2027 (they can take the last exam for a maximum of 9 cfu if of degree program version 270);

- Fuori corso students (all exams in their degree program system);

- students enrolled in Part Time mode (all exams under their degree program system);

- Students enrolled in single courses 2025/2026

- Incoming Erasmus students (they will be able to take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered by the a.y. 2025/2026);

- Students with disabilities or DSA (may take all exams whose courses have already been delivered by a.y. 2025/2026);

- students who are mothers and students who are fathers with child(ren) under the age of three (will be able to take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered by a.y. 2025/2026);

- students who have qualified as caregivers or "young caregivers" pursuant to current regulations, upon presentation of appropriate documentation certifying their status (SA Resolution 11 March 2025).
 

From Thursday, 7 January 2027 to Saturday, 17 January 2026 (Winter Session 2025/2026) last exam session related to the a.y. 2025/2026:

1 exam session for all courses delivered up to a.y. 2025/2026.
 


GRADUATION SESSIONS


Monday, 9 March to Tuesday, 31 March 206 (advance of Summer Session 2025/2026)
Session valid for all degree program version.

Monday, 6 July  to Friday, 24 July 2026 (Summer Session 2025/2026).
Session valid for all degree program version.

Monday, Monday 5 October to Friday, 6 November 2026 (Fall Session 2025/2026).
Session valid for all degree program version.

Tuesday, 1 December 2026 to Friday, 22 January 2027 (Winter Session 2025/2026). 
Session valid for all ordinations.

*All examinations related to courses taught in the 2024/2025  academic year by faculty members who are not full professors for the following academic year (a.y. 2025/2026) may only be taken until Saturday, 31 January 2026. Starting from Monday, 2 February 2026, the appeals for these teachings will be held by faculty members who have acquired tenure for the a.y. 2025/2026. Appeals related to a.y. 2024/2025 teachings no longer provided in a.y. 2025/2026 will still be guaranteed.

From Tuesday, January 7, 2025 to Saturday, February 15, 2025: 3 exam sessions for all courses delivered up to A.Y. 2023/2024*, and for all subjects whose courses were held in the first semester of A.Y. 2024/2025

Please note: in order to ensure that students can meet the deadlines to apply for graduation for the March 2025 session in the administrative office, the first of the three appeals must necessarily be scheduled, carried out and recorded, at least for undergraduates, by Friday, January 17, 2025. All appeals held on dates after Friday, January 31, 2025, even if they relate to courses delivered in previous academic years, may only be recorded on the records of the 2024-2025 academic year

From Tuesday, April 1 to Saturday, May 3, 2025 (Special Session) 1 exam session for all courses delivered until A.Y. 2023/2024 and subjects 2024/2025 whose courses were held in the first semester reserved for:

  • Fuori Corso students (they will be able to take all the exams in their programme);
  • Students enrolled in Part Time mode (will be able to take all exams whose courses have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);
  • Students enrolled in single courses 2024/2025.
  • Incoming Erasmus students (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);
  • Students with disabilities or DSA (may take all exams whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or the first semester of the current year);
  • Female students who are mothers and to students who are fathers with child(ren) under the age of three (will be able to take all examinations whose teachings have already been delivered in previous years or to the first semester of the current year);

From Monday, June 2 to Friday, July 19, 2025 (Summer Session): 3 exam sessions of all subjects delivered up to a.y. 2024-2025. By July 19, 2025, all examinations must be taken and recorded.

Please note: in order to ensure that students can meet the deadlines to be able to participate in the July 2025 graduation session, the first of the three appeals must necessarily be scheduled, taken and recorded, at least for undergraduates, by Saturday, June 14, 2025.

From Monday, September 1 to Saturday, September 13, 2025 (Autumn Session): 1 exam session of all subjects delivered up to A.Y. 2024-2025

From Monday, October 13 to Saturday, November 8, 2025(Extraordinary Session) - 1 exam session for all courses delivered up to a.y. 2024/2025 reserved for:

  • Three-year undergraduates of the December 2025/ January 2026 session (may take the last exam for a maximum of 9 cfu);
  • Undergraduates of Specialistica/Magistrale and Old Order Quinquennale of the session of December 2025/ January 2026 (they can take the last exam for a maximum of 9 cfu if of order 270);

As of Saturday, February 1, 2025, the appeals for these teachings will be held by faculty members who have acquired tenure for the a.y. 2024/2025. Appeals related to a.y. 2023/2024 teachings no longer provided in a.y. 2024/2025 will still be guaranteed.
