- Attending issues for students with disabilities and SLDs
The Department of Communication and Social Research strives for the reduction of inequalities and to promote inclusion and the right to study in line with the Regulations for Services for Students with Disabilities and Specific Learning Disorders (SLDs). The Department promotes activities and services aimed at fostering the best possible conditions of attendance, study and evaluation for students with disabilities and with SLDs and to ensure their full inclusion in university life, in line with Fourth Mission goals.The Department contact person for disability and SLDs is Prof. Lucia D'Ambrosi. The contact person handles issues related to the orientation of students with disabilities or SLDs and promotes specialized tutoring and teaching support services in agreement with the Coris Department Orientation, Tutoring and Placement Commission and the Students with Disabilities and SLSs Sector. The contact person is responsible for the following tasks:
- offer support for issues related to teaching by interfacing with the faculty members;
- refer students with disabilities and SLDs to specialized tutoring services;
- offer collaboration in solving problems of logistical and/or organizational nature;
- support information and communication activities of active services.

Enrollment with disability and SLD certification service
To take advantage of the services provided by the Department, students must declare their status as students with disabilities and SLDs on their Infostud profile, if not declared at the time of admission testing, and enroll in the Service. Once the notice is sent, the Service will prepare an individualized educational plan and at the conclusion of the process will send a summary of the procedures and support to which he or she is entitled.

Peer Tutoring Service
The methodological tutoring service is aimed at study, exam preparation and thesis writing. The service takes place in-person at Labcom in the Via Salaria 113 office. To access the service, an email must be sent to Prof. Lucia D'Ambrosi dsa.coris@uniroma1.it
Examination and teaching support service
Requests for specific aids and supports to take exams must be made at least ten days before the date of the call, by sending an email to servizio.dsa@uniroma1.it, and including in copy the contact person for the Coris Department at the following email address: dsa.coris@uniroma1.it, with the subject line Request for personalized test for “exam name” of “exam date.”
Send only one email for each individual exam complete with attachments (concept maps and other) if requested. Include the following information in the body of the message: teacher's first and last name; teacher's email; exam name; exam date; requested supports (additional time and/or quantitative and not qualitative reduction of the assignment; concept maps, other). The servicewill send the request to the lecturers, after screening it.
Didactic mediationwith lecturers and teaching facilities
The mediation service offers support for problems related to teaching and/or the conduct of examinations/profit tests, so that forms of flexibility (methodological, instrumental, organizational) can be adopted.
