Research promoted by interdepartmental initiatives

INTRODUCTION

Sapienza’s research centres have their own rules and regulations which determine their activity and objectives. Within these centres professors from various Departments work on scientific projects that are characterised by multidisciplinary approaches.
Some of the projects that are promoted by Interdepartmental Centres

TECHNE - TOURISM EXPERIENCE CULTURAL HERITAGE NETWORK ENTERPRISES

Type of project: FESR Fondo Europeo di Sviluppo Regionale
Interdepartmental Centre: DigiLab research centre
Description: The project aims to prototype an innovative model to govern tourism flows through promotion strategies, channelling, addressing, and raising user engagement, starting from tourist hubs and moving towards integrated territorial itineraries, co-planned and co-produced by a network of operators and local institutions through a multi-stakeholder and multi-channel platform.
Partner: SOCIETÀ COOPERATIVA CULTURE
Scientific coordinator for CoRiS: Alberto Marinelli

NEW_TIMES. NETWORK TO TRACK AND INTERACT IN MUSEUMS FOR END USERS

Type of project: FESR Fondo Europeo di Sviluppo Regionale
Interdepartmental Centre: DigiLab research centre
Description: The project aims to develop a network of “human sensing”, that uses WiFi and LTE, as well as an app for mobile devices aimed towards making museum experiences safe and engaging. The objective of this technology is twofold: on the one hand, it aims to track and monitor – without being invasive – the paths the museum visitors take, in order to better handle flows and safety; on the other hand, it aims to offer museums innovative digital solutions that aim to boost the interest of visitors, as well as reprogram the way in which the exhibition is organised based on user experience.
Partner: Coopculture – Società Cooperativa Culture
Scientific coordinator for CoRiS: Alberto Marinelli

ES-PA – ENERGY AND SUSTAINABILITY FOR PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION

Type of project: Co-planning of detail and development in partnership with ENEA of technical-scientific activities within the project “Energy and sustainability of public administration (ES-PA) – Bettering the abilities of regional and local public administration on the theme of energy”
